If we have received data from you, we will generally only process it for the purposes for which we received or collected it.

If personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.

If we process data on the basis of a balance of interests, you as the data subject have the right to object to the processing of personal data, taking into account the requirements of Art. 21 DSGVO.

4. how long will the data be stored?

We process the data as long as this is necessary for the respective purpose.

Insofar as statutory retention obligations exist – e.g. under commercial law or tax law – the personal data concerned will be stored for the duration of the retention obligation. After the retention period has expired, a check is made to determine whether there is a further need for processing. If the data is no longer required, it will be deleted.

As a matter of principle, we carry out an examination of data towards the end of a calendar year with regard to the need for further processing. Due to the volume of data, this check is carried out with regard to specific types of data or purposes of a processing operation.

Of course, you can at any time (see below) request information about the data we have stored about you and, if it is not necessary, request deletion of the data or restriction of processing.

5. to which recipients will the data be forwarded?

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the contract with you, the transfer is based on a balancing of interests in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO is permissible, we are legally obligated to disclose the data or you have given your consent to do so.

Your personal data is processed by us exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.

In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require proof from you that you are the person you claim to be.

Furthermore, you have a right to rectification or deletion or to restriction of processing, insofar as you are entitled to this by law.

Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing within the framework of the legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data portability.

What data from you do we process? And for what purposes?

We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our companies, if applicable).

What is the legal basis for this?

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is primarily Section 26 BDSG in the version applicable as of 25.05.2018. Accordingly, the processing of data required in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permissible.
Should the data be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 DSGVO, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) DSGVO take place. Our interest then consists in asserting or defending claims.

How long will the data be stored?

Data of applicants will be deleted after 6 months in case of rejection.
In the event that you have agreed to further storage of your personal data, we will transfer your data to our applicant pool. There, the data is deleted after two years.

If you are awarded a position during the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our HR information system.

To which recipients is the data passed on?

We use a specialized software provider for the application process. This company acts as a service provider for us and may also obtain knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and care of the systems. We have concluded a so-called order processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that the data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.

Your applicant data will be viewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the department managers for the respective open position. Then the further procedure is coordinated. In principle, only those persons in the company have access to your data who require this for the proper conduct of our application process.

Where is the data processed?

The data is processed exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.

Our social media presences

Data processing through social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks used by us in detail can be found below.

Social networks such as Facebook, Google+, etc. can generally analyze your user behavior extensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. LikeButtons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media sites triggers numerous processing operations relevant to data protection. In detail:

If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected under certain circumstances if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies that are stored on your terminal device or by recording your IP address.

With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you inside and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising may be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Legal basis

Our social media presences are designed to ensure the broadest possible presence on the Internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The services provided by the social

The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal grounds, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

Responsible person and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations triggered during this visit. You can exercise your rights (access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) in principle both vis-à-vis us and against us. us as well as vis-à-vis the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. Facebook).

Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.

Storage duration

The data collected directly by us via the social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions – esp. retention periods – remain unaffected.

We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).

We have a profile on Facebook. The provider is Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. Facebook is certified in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Shield.

Google Maps

This site uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transmission.

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy location of the places indicated by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
